Meeting Venue
The CoreSense General Meeting takes place at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC), Campus de Aranjuez. Aranjuez is a UNESCO World Heritage Royal City located 47 km south of Madrid, in a natural setting at the confluence of the Tagus and Jarama rivers.

🚉 By Train (recommended)
Aranjuez is well-served by Madrid's Cercanías (suburban rail) network. The C-3 line runs directly from central Madrid to Aranjuez station.

🚗 By Car
Aranjuez is easily reached from Madrid via the A-4 motorway (E-5). Take exit 37 – Aranjuez and follow signs to the city centre. The campus is on the northern side of the city.
Parking: Free parking is available on campus.

✈️ By Air
The nearest airport is Madrid Barajas (MAD). From the airport, take the Metro to Nuevos Ministerios or Atocha, then connect to the C-3 Cercanías line to Aranjuez. Total journey time from airport: ~90 min.
Alternatively, take a taxi or rideshare from the airport to Aranjuez (approximately 45 min, ~€45–55).

Currency & Payments
Spain uses the Euro (€). Credit cards are widely accepted. ATMs are available in the city centre.
Climate
Aranjuez enjoys a semi-arid continental climate. Expect mild to warm temperatures. Check the forecast before travelling: the Tagus valley can be windy.
Language
Spanish (Castilian) is the local language. English is not widely spoken outside the university campus. A few basic phrases in Spanish will be appreciated.
Electricity
Type F sockets (Schuko), 230 V / 50 Hz. European plugs fit; visitors from the UK, US, etc. will need an adapter.

Dining near campus
Several restaurants and cafeterias are available in Aranjuez city centre (~10–15 min from campus). The URJC campus cafeteria also provides light meals and coffee.
Social Activity – Palacio Real de Aranjuez
On the afternoon of Day 2, we will enjoy a guided visit to the Palacio Real de Aranjuez and its famous gardens, one of the most impressive Royal Palaces in Spain and part of the Aranjuez Cultural Landscape UNESCO World Heritage Site (inscribed 2001).
The palace, built in the 18th century, served as the spring residence of the Spanish monarchs and contains state rooms, the Porcelain Room, and a stunning collection of art and furniture. The surrounding Jardín del Príncipe and Jardín de la Isla extend along the banks of the Tagus river.
